What are UTM parameters?

UTM parameters are tags added to a URL that tell analytics tools like Google Analytics where traffic came from. For example, utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email tells you that a visitor clicked a link inside your email. The UTM Builder tab generates these automatically and can shorten the tagged URL in one step.

Yes. The tool is 100% free with unlimited URL shortening and QR code generation. It uses free public shortening APIs (is.gd, v.gd, CleanURI) — no signup, no credit card, no watermark.
Do shortened links expire?
It depends on the provider. is.gd and v.gd links are permanent and never expire. TinyURL links are also permanent. CleanURI links expire after a period of inactivity — so we recommend is.gd for anything important.
Can I use a custom alias?
Yes — but only with is.gd and v.gd. Enter your alias in the Custom Alias field (5–30 characters, letters, numbers, and hyphens only). For example, entering launch-2026 gives you a link like is.gd/launch-2026. If the alias is taken, you'll see an error.
Do shortened URLs have click tracking?
The free public APIs used here don't expose click statistics to third-party tools. If you need analytics, use a service with a dashboard like Bitly, or self-host Shlink or YOURLS on your own server.
Are shortened URLs safe?
The providers scan for malware and phishing before creating links. However, any shortened URL hides its destination — always preview before clicking if you don't recognise the source. is.gd lets you preview by adding a - at the end of the short link.
Is my data private?
