How is the Difficulty Score Calculated?
Unlike tools that use expensive backlink indexes (like Ahrefs or Moz), this tool uses a Zero-Cost Heuristic Algorithm. It scrapes the top 10 results and looks for the exact signals Google uses to determine authority:
1. Big Brand Dominance (Red Flags)
If the top 10 results include massive domains like Wikipedia, Amazon, YouTube, or Forbes, the keyword is heavily contested. We add +5 points for every major brand found.
2. Exact Match Titles (Orange Flags)
If a competitor has the exact keyword in their SEO title tag, they are actively optimizing for it. We add +3 points for every exact match.
3. Exact Match URLs (Blue Flags)
If the keyword is in the URL slug (e.g., /best-running-shoes/), it's a strong signal. We add +2 points.
4. Content Depth
If the search engine provides long, detailed snippets, it means the ranking pages are likely comprehensive guides. We add points based on average snippet length.
