What Is a Cloud Photo Editor?
A cloud photo editor runs inside your web browser rather than as a desktop application. Instead of installing Photoshop (a 3 GB download requiring a paid subscription), you open a web page and the editor's interface loads in a canvas — with layers, filters, brushes, text tools, and layer masks that mirror professional desktop software. How to Use the Cloud Photo Editor
Once you launch the editor, it behaves very much like Photoshop. Follow these steps to get productive quickly:
1. Launch the Editor
Click the Launch Photo Editor button above. The editor loads in a few seconds and is served from Photopea's own servers.
2. Open Your File
Click File → Open (or drag a file directly onto the canvas). Supported formats include:
- Design files: PSD, AI, XD, Sketch, Figma
- Raster images: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, BMP
- Vector files: SVG, EPS, PDF
- Camera RAW: CR2, NEF, ARW, RAF, and more
3. Essential Tools
- V — Move tool: reposition layers.
- C — Crop tool: trim unwanted areas.
- B — Brush: paint with any color or texture.
- T — Text: add editable text layers.
- M — Marquee: rectangular or elliptical selections.
- L — Lasso: freehand selection.
4. Adjustments and Filters
Open the Image → Adjustments menu for brightness, curves, levels, hue/saturation, color balance, and more. The Filter menu contains blur, sharpen, distort, stylize, and noise tools.
5. Export Your Result
Use File → Export As to save as PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, or WebP. If you want to keep the layered structure for future edits, use File → Save As PSD.
